I’m getting too old for this! これをするには年を取りすぎた!

My last child (son) just got his driver’s license this week.  I’ve been taking him out to practice driving.  It’s so scary.  It’s making my gray hair turn grayer.

This is my third child to teach driving to.  It gets harder as I get older.  So, today’s phrase is I’m getting too old for this.

Some variations:

It’s getting too late for cycling.

It’s getting too hot for a barbecue.

I’m too tired to go hiking.

I’m too busy to enjoy life.

It’s a very easy but useful phrase.  Try it in our next class.  See you soon!
